Recording studio owner: Managing day-to-day activities of studio. Scheduling studio time between several engineers. Working with lawyers, banks, and contractors. Developing promotions, managing budgets for operations and maintaining complex equipment and building upgrades.

Recording engineer: Recording, mixing, mastering, digital editing, and producing regional music groups in various home and professional studios locally and nationally. Consulting with clients on recording industry software (PC and Mac), hardware, and studio design. Doing live sound and recording in various venues for CD and DVD. Part-time instructor: Survey of Sound Recording, Music Technology I, Audio Recording I + II, Recording Tech Portfolio I, Music of World Cultures and History of Popular Music. Co-developed the recording classes and assisted in creating the Music Business Technology Certificate and the Music Business Technology, AAS. Consulted on software and hardware for music technology lab’s initial purchase and continued upgrades and maintenance.

Recording engineer/producer/owner/partner: Recorded, mixed, mastered, digitally edited, and produced local, regional, and national bands, as well as radio and television commercials for advertising agencies. Oversaw day-to-day activities of the studio, booked sessions, worked sessions, purchased equipment, performed maintenance and troubleshooting, designed and built studios, promoted studio, and sold time to musicians and agencies. Utilized Sonic Solutions for audio forensic projects. Worked with student interns from the University of Toledo and various recording schools.

Recording engineer/classical music announcer/board operator: On-air announcer/board operator, monitored satellite feeds, recorded national and local broadcasts, and recorded live concerts such as the Toledo Symphony, Masterworks Choral, and the Chamber Symphony in the Toledo Museum of Art’s Peristyle and Great Room, Toledo Club, Lourdes College, and various churches.

Taught private, group and marching band lessons at the University of Toledo, the Toledo Drum School/Daves’ Drum Depot, Bedford Junior High School, and Otsego High School. Composed and taught music for student and faculty ensembles and drumlines, including UT marching drumline for seven years. Held percussion workshops and team building drum circles at various regional high schools and grade schools.
